I was once told that of that kind of rock formation, it is second in size to Gibraltar.

As a sea stack it is considered to be the third tallest in the world.
Taller sea stacks rate as follows:

Ball Pyramid , Australia, at 1726 feet or 562 meters

Just curious, you have all the details --what about Devils Tower in Wyoming? And Diamond Head in Hawaii or don't they fit teh definition? Oh excuse me, I see you have listed Devil's Tower.

I have a training conference in Canon Beach every year at mid-January. These type of shots do not exist then, but I am too busy sitting in training to get outside, even it wasn't raining.

Diamond Head is classified as a volcanic tufa cone.

too bad for you. Yes, there is a lot of rain. When we arrived on the eve of the 8th of June, it was raining but the rest of the time the weather was fine.
