OK, I'll bite. Don't all robins eat seeds? Or is this a special type of robin? Just curious.
Love the little round bluebird!

Bob, you have a beautiful set of feathered friends... wonderful shots and such detail!!
I don't think I've ever seen a robin eat seeds.... don't you serve worms at your house?? lol..
This Robin has been at my house for about three years now. He started out just warily trying the smaller seeds and matured into peanuts and suet. Since the Robin is primarily a ground feeder, his body is not adapted to feeding from bird feeders...he flies up to the suet feeder and clumsily attempts to hover while he snatches a large beak full. He now has at, least, two other Robins trying out the menu. Robins mainly eat worms and seem to love to eat fruit off the bush...they use the same technique for harvesting the fruit as for eating the suet.
Thanks for visiting, Angela!

Very beautiful and excellent set, Bob and sounds like me! I'll go through and write down the image numbers that I plan to post and then misplace the list and don't really want to do it all over again and also by then someone probably has posted a similar image that is better!
Have you tried remembering what you had for breakfast lately? In my case, I shoot more pictures than I edit and when I edit them, I find out that bird photos shot in the snow aren't very appropriate in August! Thanks, Corkie for sharing the baggage of growing older!
