Eclipse images that is. Unless it is something special with the blocked out Sun & say a landscape or seascape included. Just images of the Sun are a bit redundant...

Is it okay if we run them by you for your approval before posting?

Maybe someone will show you a nice moon or a raspberry instead!

That's a bit harsh. I'm not into eclipse photos, or bugs, or butterflies, or landscapes, or cars, or flowers.....I'm into people photography of all types, but I don't complain about what other people enjoy. Look in the galleries, there are TONS of photos of the things I'm not "into." When there are photos of things I don't enjoy, I just look further.

I also don't like strawberries. I don't complain that they should ban them from the store.

That's odd! I photograph macro, birds, animals, landscapes, buildings, cars, flowers, bugs, sky, reflections and seldom shoot people. Plus I like strawberries. B^)

I get your point. They are all the same more or less. I did a few screen captures on my PC of NASA images from across the nation, other than clouds in some images, they all look the same, as do the ones friends shot, and what I'm seeing on UHH. It is a cool accomplishment but can there be 100,000,000 copies of the same piece of "art" and it still be art?

I seldom photograph people. Mostly landscapes and flowers, and abstracts.

My niche is macro, although I have shot just about everything. Even with macro, the selection of subjects is dizzying so it's not the same image time & again. I guess what I'm saying is not so much eclipse images per se, but make them more interesting instead of the same thing as everyone else.

Exactly (that may take some work).

And I agree about macro too.

Is this different enough? Tree shadow on bench. Pinhole camera effect.

Now here is an example of an eclipse image that rocks. Hopefully, the link to this Facebook page will work...

My sense is that these images are not being viewed as being "art" - they are a personal accomplishment like "I climbed to the top of Mt Eclipse" ... and people need to talk about here as a form of validation.

Geez guys, it's hard enough to get people to ask questions or post pics...not much encouragement here. We do have the option of not opening a post that says eclipse or something else unworthy of our attention.
