I will answer your question. Why would you buy anything from a company, if you have to ask about the trustworthyness of that company?

Crossed my mind to ask, but I bit my tongue...
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
4 1/2 star rating from 21 customers on Amazon. No 1 or 2 ratings, so at the very least I would expect a reasonable service life.

it was cheap, didn't have a lot of money. I know thats not a good reason, but thanks for your statements.

It seems like a reasonable choice. The reviews are decent and it cost you about a fifth of the price of a genuine Canon one, even when found at a good price (B&H). I like battery grips and consider them to be part of the camera so I have bought Canon grips, but when money counts you have to make choices. I just bought a refurb 80D from Canon and a new grip from B&H.
I hope it really works out well for you, I'm assuming that you did some independent research prior to buying it, and then asking this motley crew of curmudgeons!

I bought a used Canon grip from KEH- for my 7d, good as new for under $50. Only way I could tell it wasn't new is that it did not come in original packaging.

I bought a used one on ebay also, similar kind of deal. Great condition. I think my wife has used it once!

Wait a week, and you tell us. Some aftermarket battery grips are fine, and some have problems. If you get a good one, you'll be set for life.

I was thinking the very same thing. LOL
Hope everything works out for you....it should, you bought it from a good company.
Use it for a while,if you like it GREAT, if not, send it back. Amazon is great about returns.
Bought 2 knockoff grips - 1 has been flawless for 2 years (on my 6D). 1 became intermittent after about 3mo.
...for run and gun wedding photography, i am coming to the realisation that reliability trumps cost. (I know...DUH!) I will continue to use the knockoff for the 6D as I trust it but will never buy a knockoff grip for another camera if I need it for weddings or any other event where a failure means a missed shot that cant be recreated.

Actually, the time to ask is BEFORE you buy.
