An interesting article about equipment aftermath and the eclipse.

Just how long did they point it at the sun? DUH!

I had mine on live view with a CamRanger and a certified eclipse filter in front of the lens, wifi set up to my iPad. During total eclipse I removed the filter and got a keeper. Not daring enough to capture anything else, as far as I can tell my camera and lens are in 100% shape.

I can just imagine what the sun could do to my stuff if exposed for just a few seconds unfiltered. Reminds me of the magnifying glass with the fire and smoke caused by it during my younger years with the sun and science.

That's exactly the image I had in mind. I would think you would have to have no filter and leave it pointed at the sun with it not covered by the moon to get damage.

Yep pushy

Asking for a photo on a photography forum is being pushy? Not to mention that I was really kidding with SS. He is one of my favorite members on UHH. But thank you for your concern. I'll try to behave more like you in the future.

Not everyone has the luxury to set everything else in their life to the side just to process and post a photo. Have patience. SS is a good person. He will produce.

Did you read my post? BTW, SS is a PRO photographer, his job IS to process his files.

Ok, my bad. I went back and read through most of the posts in one setting. The lack of voice inflection in the written word sometimes leads one to incorrect understanding, especially when you read them here and there as they pop up. Reading them all together at one time, I picked up on little things that I had missed, or just didn't register before. I enjoy the banter between friends here on the Hogg. Guess I missed this one. My apologies to you, and all. I will remember this and look forward to your next "encounter" with SS.
