Last Friday afternoon I headed out to a small park near my house to see if I could rustle up a few bird images. The young Black-crowned Night-Herons were petty cooperative, and I ended up with a few keepers.

This one was dribbling a bit.

Plant roots just aren't all that tasty, as this one soon found out.

Berries definitely taste better than plant roots.

Great shots, a few years ago while doing some photography at Bombay Hook NWR in Delaware, I came across a loan bird feeding along the marsh...It was the bird in your photo, this was the only time I had seen one and had no idea what it was.

Angela, I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. I kinda like the dribbler in #2 probably because he reminds me of myself sometimes. . Thanks for the great compliments...I always appreciate what you have to say.

DYNAMITE captures of this interesting bird. The juvies expressions are hilarious. Thanks for sharing your work, Mike.

Nice set Mike. Don't see them here. Mostly green and blues.

Great set. Particularly like the closeup of the head.
