My Foray into Pinhole Photography

I recently purchased a Noon pinhole camera. I am posting a few of the better exposures from my last roll of eight photos. It is quite difficult, at least for me, to figure out how much of the subject will be in the frame. I am sure with practice it will become somewhat easier. It is definitely a different way of obtaining a photo and a lot of fun. Waiting for the film to get back from the lab keeps one wondering if there will be anything useable or not. It definitely is not a game for those that want instant gratification.

What fun. I've been using a Santa Barbara 4x5 pinhole along with a pinhole lens for my digital for some time. You have some pretty nice images here.

Thank you Bob,
I appreciate your looking. I have a pinhole lens cap for my Pentax K1000 but haven't gotten around to trying it yet. I really should as our local Walgreen store still processes 35mm film in house.

I dabbled in pinhole photography years ago. I tried it with a cardboard box, and with a Lubitel camera. It was interesting, but I prefer sharper images than a pinhole can provide, so I went back to lenses.

I can certainly understand your point of view. I like the dreamy look but I know it isn't something everyone likes. Thanks for looking

Thanks Jerry. It is a lot of fun. I have always liked doing things that are a bit off the beaten path.

Here they are. It is set up so you can take either 6x6, 6x9, or 6x12 cm. negatives by moving spacers internally.

Wow. A lot different than the one I made, when I was a kid. I like it!

They are made in Poland and the woodworking is 1st class. Of course if you get things just right they will work just fine regardless of looks. The price isn't bad either. Around $120.00 shipping included. Thank you for looking.
