Hi, I have dabbled in photography for years just pleasing myself, lost touch for awhile and somebody invented DSLR and my beloved film cameras were duly rendered obsolete. Got back into it a couple of years back and to be honest i don't miss the film, I think digital is fantastic for developing ones skills etc. Never joined a group before but this seems like a very friendly place and I look forward to sharing this wonderful 'hobby' with you all.

No worries. I have a 50D. I wish for a 7D!!! Funily enough your photography story is exactly the same as mine. Used to have a Pentax spotmatic from the late 60s. Great camera. Film just too damn expensive to develop.

My first SLR was a Zenit, oh so long ago, and ditto the cost of film and processing, each press of that button was a considered process that swallowed up my pocket money, but no complaints, it,s all part of the journey.

G'day mate. How ya goin'? You're gonna like it here. I'm not a joiner, but this site is fantastic. I've learned more from this site in six months than I learned in the ten years prior to that.
