Mallards have left

I went back to Herring Run this morning after last night's torrential rain to see what treasures awaited. Here's one. I think they are water lilies but I am not sure. There were, however, no Mallards -- and no people -- around. Had the place to myself. Matt

Pity the ducks are gone. You gave us such a fun puzzle with the last one. As for this photo, I see the plants as the main focus point in this composition. You might want to adjust contrast or selectively change the lighting to make them more prominent. I'm really happy to see you are having such a good time with that camera. It's great to vicariously share in your enthusiasm. We are also being treated to views of Cape Cod that most people never see. At the end of the summer you might be interested in putting them all together in an album to commemorate your summer's shooting.

Thank you again, Erich. I will try what you suggest about contrast and lighting in a week or so. Our eight-year-old grandson is arriving tomorrow for a week; I doubt I will get much time for posting. I do make a Blurb book at the end of each summer; and I notice the children pick them up from time to time and thumb through. No one will want my Lightroom files. Matt

Have fun with the grandkids. Don't put the camera away though. Kids are a fantastic subject and they look great in black and white. Enjoy.
