What's important. The jokes.
What's not important. 1. Most of the topics, since I shoot film. 2. Amateurs teach amateurs to be amateurs. I don't learn a lot to improve my photography since most of the topics are about equipment. 3. JerryC41. That should probably be the name of this site, not UHH. He seems to think that we should all find interesting what he finds interesting--6 out of 10 in a recent chit chat and approaching 90,000 in listings. But, worst of all is his stating that there was violence on both sides in Charlottesville. He crossed the line on this one. Shame on you Jerry. Thank God many of the business and political leaders in this country have distanced themselves from such rhetoric. Even some extreme right wingers. And, Charlottesville is not like WWII. I probably won't see any responses to this. I will probably be dropping UHH. Thanks Jerry.

I hope you don't drop UHH. If you have questions about your film photography there are many on the site who can help out. There are lots of old pros with plenty to offer there. Just ignore the silly stuff. I have found quite a few members to be both knowledgeable and generous with their time.

Couldn't agree more! Jerry is a valuable member of this forum who unselfishly shares useful information with everyone and never participates in argumentative rants like this, while the OP contributes nothing except venom. As has been previously said, good riddance (to bad rubbish).

Actually I have learned more about everything in this world by clicking on Jerry's links that he posts ...he does a lot of work each day doing this unselfishly for everyone .. at UHH

I decided not to drop from this forum. But, I cannot let some things go unanswered. To say that there was violence on both sides is just plain wrong. When peaceful demonstrators are violently attacked by neonazis, white supremacists, and KKK members and they defend themselves, they are not being violent. They are just trying to survive. These three groups believe that only white people, and only certain white people, certainly not Jewish people, are superior. And they are willing to run them down with cars, beat them and hang them to prove their point. When the elected leader of the free world says there are nice people on both sides, it is a sad testimonial to our leadership. JerryC41 has his defenders on his frequent posts. Fair enough. But, "violence on both sides?" Really?
