The cycle of life. It was a good photo even if the little turtle is not having a good day.
Thanks for looking Tikva. I guess hatching after sunrise stacks the odds against survival of the little guys.
Nice captures. What a shame, we could use more turtles and fewer gulls.
Thanks kpmac. Agreed. These guys are late hatchers. Most were gone before daybreak. This beach has probably 100+ nests of various species.
Probably 20-30 eggs each. Getting to the ocean is possibly the easy part. Surviving for a couple of years in that ocean is another matter.
Good catches. Nature is cruel. Isn't there an alternative? : )
