Leicaflex...Thank you for the very nice kudos. In order to make timing work for me every once in awhile, I have to use the sit and wait, plus the shotgun approach (keep pressing that shutter button). You oughta see how full my cyber wastebasket is.

Thank you Angela. The funny thing about egrets and herons is; when they are starring directly at you, they so frequetly have this look about them of great surprise. I always get a kick out of seeing that look whenever I'm lucky enough to capture it.
I was photographing a juvenile black-crowned night-heron, when all of a sudden a cattle egret flew by, almost hitting the heron. It was kind of funny to see, and I think both birds were a bit surprised.
