Sunday was a perfect day for our annual Hudson Valley Contesters & DXers picnic. Just a few snaps. Our guys took first place away from Rochester in the NY QSO Party. (They are sponsors and usually win it but not this year 😂

Bud--
Glad you guys had fun and had a good day. Sounds like propagation was pretty good.
I'll hold off spilling the beans on the shirt until some other folks have had a chance to try .... ..

Thanks Larry. That was one of the more popular items from Hamvention. I didn't get there this year, but since my wife asked me why I didn't go, I'm really thinking about next year, plus our niece lives nearby and also asked why I didn't go.
We also give out in club awards for participation in a large number of contests. I just took over production of the award, so as soon as I get them done, I will post a couple to show the extent our guys go through.

My dad was a ham radio guy back in the 50s. (WA6VJQ) I remember going to a ham picnic in southern Texas during a major thunderstorm. Funny the things you remember from 60 years ago when you were 5. Thanks for the memories, as Bob Hope would have said.

It took me a while to figure out what you were talking about. Congratulations! Where was this event held?
As for the shirt.

We had the picnic at the Elm Avenue Park in Delmar. Our regular meetings are West Hurley on the second Monday of the month, except for an October meeting in Delmar and a Saturday meeting in April. We usually eat at the Hurley Mountain Inn before our meetings.
Great! Congrats on the win!

I like the T-shirt. Not something I ever did, but I appreciate those who did. They provided valuable services during bad times.

While you said you never did cw, were you able to determine what the message was?
