Not a great photo, the bird is not that common here and surprised me.....But, YUP there it was, a Walmart bag floating in the swamp.
Good shot, even so. Question: Why do we think a picture with natural subjects should not have manmade stuff in them? I instinctively try to compose without power lines and cars, etc. But why? If the animal does not mind parking lots, how come we do? Because Leonardo did not have a water tower or Walmart in the Mona Lisa?
You have a point. But on this particular day we had walked through two protected wild life areas and the amount of trash and Mylar balloons we came across made it hard to take a clear shot. Made me upset. I always collect it and dispose of it when I can but in this case it was on the other side of the marsh and I couldn't get to it. It's upsetting to see so much.

I agree - I don't know why people think it's acceptable to throw their trash anywhere they choose!
I find it upsetting, also, that there is so much trash. When I go hiking or take my camera out to practice some shooting, I try to remember to take a bag with me and pick up trash along the way. Of course, if I forget to take a bag with me, there's always a good chance of finding a Walmart bag laying around I can use! Sad, but true. If anyone on UHH geocaches, it's a big thing there. Common decency to pick up trash as you're out looking for your treasures. I think photography should be the same! Thanks for the pic!
That's about right, a darn egret photo bombed a perfectly fine Walmart plastic bag shot.

All that plastic floating around in the oceans is good for the sea life and makes a great photo.
Beautiful capture, Phacelia!
