Was thier in 85' was free the whole tour.
But what I went to Memphis for was the Cotton fest. Everything on Beale street was free to enter everyplace. That was the year they tried to make human chain always across the country. Everyone holding hands. I was 5 people away from Carl Perkins and B.B. king an some others.

Elvis would perform impromptu concerts at Overton Park downtown Memphis and he use to invite the military to his house (Graceland) on weekends for free food/refreshments and some time away from the base - quite a guy...
