An Osprey trying to find a quiet place to perch.
Osprey quite often like to perch in a tree or high pole to watch over a body of water looking for fish. This poor guy had to put up with a flock of crows (raven?) who would not leave him in peace. They were high in the top of a Weeping Willow tree over the river and the wind was blowing. It went on for at least an hour. The Osprey never did get a fish and finally left.
I watched a red-tail hawk take apart a crow in a pine three at work, every crow for ten miles was flying in and out of that three trying to stop the onslaught.
Very interesting photos and the story that goes along with them. I guess the Osprey was treading on someone else's turf.
Poor guy! I'd get outa there if at all possible! :) Good shot, cmc65!
