We all have those shots where we wish we had done something differently for a special capture. This is one of mine that I play over and over in my head and keep checking this spot on the river to see if I can do it again now that I've some idea of how to use this camera. This was just the first week that I had the 5ds r and I had not learned to appreciate how important it was to hold it still with all those MP's. To make matters worse I was hand holding it with the 100-400 mk2 lens and that's not my strength. IF ONLY I had brought the tripod, used different settings to stop the action.......ugh
I'd like to invite you all to attach any photo if you had an "IF ONLY" moment and just a message as to what you would have done differently. I think we could all learn from the comments.

Great set!
Thanks for taking the time to look.
Wow! Excellent shots. That first one looks magical - bird arising from the water.

For the first week I would say you've exceeded the learning curve. A really great series.
I think the first two images are terrific. I don't see anything wrong with the three BIF images with maybe a suggestion that they could be a bit brighter and LR or PS could help fix that for you.
Keep shooting and going back to the camera manual or You Tube videos for more instruction as desired.
Here's my "if only"... I wish I had focused properly but it happened so fast! This is an iphone shot of the image on the camera (it actually looks better than the actual image).
Nikon D7100, 70-200 f/2.8
I really like the osprey shots. The first one is great!
