Almost all the photos in this section are of flowers, plants, butterflies, or other small creatures, and I have contributed a few of them. I love taking or looking at these pictures. Nevertheless, for no particular reason, I recently decided to try finding some interesting close-ups that have completely different subjects. Two of what I consider my better efforts are posted here. Are they interesting? Let me know what you think. Thanks
Allan
Oh no! Nothing allowed here but flowers and critters, Allan!
Joking of course. The list of closeup possibilities is endless, and we encourage variety...like these. Good shots!!
Very interesting shots!! Love the detail.

Nice shots, Allan, & I concur with you. I also shoot inanimate close ups at times--knot hole in a fence post, or a spike on a barbwire fence, etc. The choice of subjects is unlimited.

Beaut shots Allan..I've been getting very bored with all the flowers on these pages as well, I'm guilty as well I must admit...it's wonderful to see something different...

Interesting shots, Allan !
Good to see something different. I am also guilty of posting flowers only
In closeup the possibilities are endless.
Good shots and good to see something different. I am partial to the rusty gate latch and lock. Thanks for posting.
I'm all for variety, closeups of every shape, size, color and texture.... Nice shots!!
I think they are very interesting--nice work.
Different strokes for different folks. .

Rust is always interesting and oddly enough beautiful to me. And I enjoyed too the many twist and turns of #2. Amazing how man can create something like that, it has a purpose and it works. And you have me thinking of a "different" closeup post. We should all post them from time to time.
Nice set with good details.
You bet they are interesting, Good job!!!!!!
