Hi folks like everyone else here I'm a newbie to the site. Great to be aboard! Looking forward to learning and sharing.
My name is Glen Coombe. In the late 1980's I had my "15 months of fame." I shot aviation editorial mainly air to air using 35mm Nikon gear and a Kenyon gyro stabilizer. I was able to hand hold Kodachrome 25 ASA with 90th of a second steady images suitable for publication as cover art.
Now as my second career has brought me to retirement I am refocusing (pun intended) on my original passion. I liveaboard my 40' sailboat and will focus on shooting other peoples boats for fun and bar tab coverage....
I have just returned from the Bahamas where I spent some of my time shooting the Reggatta Time in Abaco. Here's a sample of what I sold cheap to the 27 boat owners who participated in the four race, weeklong event.

Hi and welcome. I'm sure you'll get a lot out of this site and learn plenty. That's a really nice shot by the way; I like the low angle perspective and colour vibrancy.
Neat.
Welcome to the forum.
Welcome! Nice shot. My family enjoys sailing also. We are weekend sailors at the moment. Happy sailing & shooting.
Welcome. Looking forward to more of your images.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Here's what I used to focus on.
Thanks ! What seems unique is that most boat owners have a ton of shots of their boat but few if any shot from off the boat while underway. The shot of the blue hulled Freedom 42 was done from my inflatable dinghy... a.k.a. the camera ship. :) go low, go high but offer perspective not of the average.
Welcome to the forum, love the photo.
Welcome to the Hog Glen, enjoy.
