Solar filters/sheets - I waited too long? I have been trying to order since Saturday. So far everyone is out of stock. (B & H, Adorama, Amazon) Any suggestions for delivery by 8/20...

I stocked 400 of these in May, almost none at all sold until August first. Then they were gone by last week. I ordered 50 more and only received 12 of those Saturday, they were gone same day. Lots of procrastinators like you out there who are going to miss out or look for lesser options.

I spent a few hours Saturday looking at what I should get and finding that maybe I could spend $300+ and maybe have something by Saturday and maybe it will be partly sunny in Chicago on Monday where we'll have some percentage of partial. My sister is sending some free glasses she got at the Smithsonian in DC. Guess that will be good enough for just viewing whatever happens ...

Same here. Did not plan on shooting the eclipse until all filters are gone out of stock. Managed to grab the last piece of welding glass (shade 10) at local hardware store. I read shade 14 glass should be used, but didn't find any of those.
What shade # would you be using?

Shade 12 through 14. Do not use 10, do not damage your eyes.

My son ordered and got several pair for us from Amazon a month or so ago.
Then a couple days ago he gets an e-mail warning him they may be defective.
We have been searching for replacements.
No dice.
Lowes was selling them but I checked there , among many businesses, yesterday. A prominent sign as I walked in..Sold out of Eclipse Glasses.
