When I was young, wicked witches were creatures to be feared--brooding, ill-tempered crones, often green, and covered with warts. And they cackled while feasting on plump, disobedient children!

Now that I'm grown and have a swell job as astronaut/custodian at the Ministry of Mayhem, I find myself associated with an abundance of wicked witches (they now call themselves Dark Ladies, in keeping with their updated PR campaign, and trying to dispense with the whole 'wicked' label). Far from their earlier depiction, I find them without exception to be beautiful and completely charming, with nary a wart to be seen. Youthful skin tones are now the order of the day, and cackling has been abandoned in favor of the most musical laughter. Plus they're fountains of arcane knowledge, which they don't mind sharing.

Okay, so they still feast on plump, disobedient children--Rome wasn't built in a day. But if you can overlook their culinary and gastronomic preferences, I can't think of anyone in whose company I'd rather be.

Here, for example, is Dark Lady Kimberly, the shot taken during her most recent visit from Rumania. You'll note--no warts, and no cackling!

No warts at all, as far as I can see. Make sure you change your mop water regularly so you can stay on their good side. Besides, what's a few less disobedient children anyway? Who's counting?

Very pretty lady. Great shot, but did she need that much CC? Something a bit unnatural there. I'd think Rumania is more associated with Vampires than Witches. Watch your neck around her!

LOL!!! Thanks, John. I'll watch for that label to arrive... If I had to choose between the two on beauty alone, that might be a tough one. Both Dark Ladies are stunning, if quite different. But knowing them as well as I do, for me there's no question of which witch to pitch, or whether to switch and then hide in a ditch.

Thanks, Grillmaster. That's exactly my feeling. Plump disobedient children shouldn't be scolded or punished, but enjoyed. And I do. With ketchup and a nice chianti... ; )

The Dark Ladies are all a little leery of me when I'm armed with my mop, having dumped the dirty mop water on two of them when they got into a fight over Prince Humperdinck (of the royal Estonian Humperdincks) a few months back. Broke it right up, lol.

Thanks for your very kind comments. Did she need all the processing, no, not at all. The original shots are fine with a touch up or two, and I've given her a couple of those. But as one of my Dark Ladies, I want a bit of unnatural about the images, something different from the standard photos they can get anywhere from any good photographer. The girls I do these for love them (or at least claim to, lol), and the wilder, the better. So we have fun with them.

Rumania is a special magical country that abounds with dragons and witches. I'm sure a few vampires can be found skulking about, but I think mostly they're found in Transylvania/ROmania, lol. Easy to confuse the two. ; )
