...XQD's have been around for awhile, and the technology is solid and FAST. Seems to me that Nikon is using the same system as the D500, one of each XQD and SD. I find that array kinda handy at times...mostly when I don't have my XQD reader for whatever reason (I never hook my camera direct to the 'puter).

Supposedly, all will be revealed in full on 8-16-17. I will wait until then to investigate it much. Rumors have swirled about the camera for over a year, and most will probably be wrong. Only the name seems really certain at this point. The D850 will, undoubtedly, cost a bit...but will probably be worth it. I will wait awhile, save up a bit, and buy one before my next trip abroad. The D810 was a great camera, and the D850 is apt to be better still. I will get the full details before actually laying down money for it, but I currently have high expectations.

Wow, 45.75 MP FF sensor! But hey, hope all you GASsed up Nikon fans saved your old 50mm f/1.2 and f/1.4 prime lenses. I did some checking and this bad boy might likely show diffraction effects at f/9. So at f/22 it will look like a quantum physics experiment.
I think for me I'd be happy at 36.3MP for FF!
