This guy is my daily buddy. We have a catch and release policy implemented in our area. But to his dismay, he disregards all signs. Therefore making him the best fisherman. All is good!

They do make excellent fishing buddies. Quiet, patient, always optimistic about the potential of a catch, and generally very capable of catching their own "snacks", while waiting for the Big One.
They are also very photogenic, in a "so ugly, you are cute" way. I have my own Fishing Buddy who is getting rather tame and actually a little bit of an ingrate... S/he has a tendency to beg for every small fish I catch. I'm not sure if this is some sort of back-handed complement about my fishing prowess?

Advice for photographing a GBH up close in Florida - go to the beach with a fishing pole and a bucket! One will show up soon!
