While up country Maui found this little fellow. Natural habitat: Kenya. lives between 1000 - 2400 ft. Considered an invasive species here in Hawaii.

Excellent capture. That is what happens when people think an animal from another region of the world is 'cute' and bring it over for a pet and then release it into the wild. Of course, you need a pair of them to end up with a problem, especially if they don't have a natural predator to keep them in check.

Yes, unfortunately there are several area where they can be found. The state has yet to find a predator for this species. Mahalo for looking in and the comment.
