Great story, but long flight with no toilet lol
What a great article.
Anyone who has experienced ferry flying for long distances knows how trying it can be and he describes this flight so well, you can almost feel the bladder hurting!!
I flew across the Pacific going to war in Vietnam in 67, 12,000 miles, with bathroom stops on Wake Is, and at Clark AFB in the Philippines, that was a difficult "cross-your-legs-tightly" trip, so a Salute to those who ferried planes across the Sea.

Wow - that is one beautifully-restored airplane. My father flew those and P-38's in WWII. Not easy to fly as I understand.
What a beautiful machine! That old rattle trap is wonderful to look at in flight.
Cool link. Enjoyed reading and the photos. Thanks.
That must have been one hell of thrill!
