Ok without a discussion...I am going to spring for either a SX60 or a P900. I will be selling a Fuji S1 in very close to mint condition. What camera should I get. My other equipment is a FZ1000 A FZ300 and the Fuji S1. I will be up for an offer for the S1 in the $140 range...Please advise as to what you would do as to a new camera addition. Please no long discussion just what you would do. If you are interested in the S1 please advise,This is only going to stay up tonight as I am tired of thinking about both cameras...,,Thank You

You must have the capacity to do your own thinking!
You are not a photographer if you can not make a purchase decision for yourself.
I think any more, you can't go wrong with any of the top brands. It's what you feel comfortable with. Besides specs, go somewhere that you can handle the camera. What feels good in your hands? What control placement feels more natural. There are certainly feature differences, but all the big boys are using great glass and sensors. I also have an FZ1000 & FZ200. Love them both. I was looking for something with great light gathering capabilities, and both fit the bill. And Panasonic has figured something out when it comes to noise reduction. So personally, if I was to step up to a DSLR, I'd probably stick with what I know.
You have to ask yourself a question, is the Fuji S1 failing to satisfy your needs? If it does you need a new camera. Which one? A camera that will have the features you need in your photography and with the ergonomics that will make it convenient for you.
Thanks all of you for taking the time....
P900
(Why do I get the feeling that people don't read the question?)

The P900 doesn't shoot RAW, so it's just for dilettantes.
Wow, thank heavens you're not judgmental.
I have used a P900 for about a year and have gotten great travel shots for use in photo books. Many shots would not have been possible without carrying more gear that I can handle at my age.
Why is the S1 failing to satisfy my needs....I did read the question...The SI IMHO build is excellent and it makes a very good outside camera...Lo light especially in videos is its downside. The weather proofing is excellent and my camera has been through some wet wet areas with no damage...I would say that it is extremely solid feeling....maybe better than a G15...BTW...it sold very quickly and having a FZ300 which is awesome as a back up is great.....thank you
My son has an SX60 and gets really good images.

I've seen both and they both take nice pictures for an advanced point and shoot camera. But the Nikon is huge. If you are buying one because you wanted a smaller lighter camera, you may want to steer clear of the P900. Also, the P900 doesn't shoot raw. This alone would probably steer me toward the Canon SX60.
