I am about to purchase a polarizing filter for my digital Nikon. The Hoya PRO1 Digital DMC, X2 CPL with nano costing, or the B&W HTC Kaeseman get good reviews.. Is there a discernable difference between these and is this one of these cases where the most expensive is best? Most of my lenses are 67mm . Please feel free to weigh in!

Don't count out Tiffen filters either, they are good too and reasonably priced.

LEE Filters are hand made and regarded by professional photographers around the world
as the best filters, the only filters they use.

LEE Filters - "Masters of Light".

I have Hoya neutral density filters that are excellent. My polarizing filter is made by Nikon. They make their own polarizing filters that are outstanding.

Either of the filters you mentioned would be fine, Bob.

Both are very good filters and it would be a toss up for most people. I prefer the B+W for the simple reason that they are made of brass not aluminum and tend not to get stuck on you lenses as easily.

Good choice either way, but honestly I really like the Nikon polarizers the best. I like the rendering better with them than I do with the Hoya or B+W.

Thanks for pointing it out. I'll look into Nikon as well.

Much of the stiffen line is uncoated, mediocre quality at best. Are they now making a better line of filters?

I do think coated is the way to go.
