The most active bird around here at the moment is the GBH. They are usually very far away and i struggle with focus and pray that cropping will help. This week an adult has been bringing a younger one for flight lessons my way and quite a bit closer than usual. I was too thrilled.

Outstanding photos. Grabbed these guys (or gals?) while on assignment shooting some local 4th of July activities in Northglenn, CO. Had my longer (Nkkor 70-200 2.8) lens as I was shooting a road race, and they happened to buzz overhead, while I awaited the finishers.
