Which lens do you think would be best for this type of camera I have. Which one would be best for the price.

Thanks
Phil

What kind of camera do you have? That would help.

With all respect, you seem to be comparing apples to pork loin. I understand it is for a Canon T6. What sort of images are you trying to capture? Or did you just now get a bug to shoot the eclipse? What lenses do you already have?

There is no 500-1000 lens.

I go to a lot of sporting events for my grand kids and I don't always get the best seats. I want to have a lens that took great distance shots that were clear. I have a 75/300 now which came with the camera.

The best lens for your camera will be determined by what type of photography you wish to pursue.

You should CAREFULLY see the REAL lenses available, then evaluate your needs and budget, then ask for opinions. Again no lens exists as a zoom with the focal lengths 500-1000.

What said distance is? Also that lens you mention has good optics but it could be short depending, again, what this distance is.

Is this what you mean?

If it is that one, I would advice against it. That is junk. For the proposed use the new 100-400 II would be ideal or a used 100-400 I.
