Just purchased this Dewalt tool case (24.47) and foam insert (11.99)from Amazon.

DEWALT DWST17808 TSTAK I Long Handle Toolbox Organizer

DEWALT DWST88801 TSTAK Foam Insert
Insert comes with cut squares you have to pull out any way you want. Granted it's an OLY E5 4/3 so the case is roomy enough for a good amount of gear. They do make larger ones.

Very good! I like how the upper tray and the lower foam insert keep things separated. I sometimes take my studio photography gear to photo shoots. Some of the gear includes a studio strobe, 7 inch diameter reflectors, 8.5 inch diameter reflector, grids, radio triggers, cords. I'll have to look into what I can do with that.

To each his / her own. Hard cases appeal to some. I prefer soft sided cases which can deform enough to fit into tight spaces, but which are padded enough to protect my gear from the sort of jostles, and bumps, it will get in such a space, or while hung over my shoulder. These days, and for years now, I buy nothing but Billingham bags. They cost a bit, but provide the protection I seek, and quality enough to last for decades. I'm buying myself a Billingham F1.4 bag for Xmas this year, to put my newest camera system into. My current gear goes into Billingham Hadley Large, Billingham Hadley Digital, and Billingham Stowaway Pola, bags.

Best of all, it doesn't look like a camera case!

I seen a case at home depot ,I believe the brand name was rigid. Had an o-ring seal for those who would worry about humidity. Just add some packets of those moisture sucking beeds.

Looks good. If I got one of them, I could buy more gear!

Something like that would be good when shopping with the wife. When she asks you to hold her pocketbook while she's trying on clothes, you could stick it in a tool box - a much better look than standing there holding a pocketbook.

Neither does this one; and it is gasketed against moisture to boot. Has removable foam inserts that can be cut to fit various cameras and lenses. Costs around $35.00 online. A bigger size is available and it also comes in blue. Floats if dropped overboard which I like as a sailing photographer,

I use carry bags also. This is just some thing to carry and protect my gear. Have older lenses and cameras with a few good nicks in them from being in carry bags and such. This is my favorite day trip bag insulated, holds camera a few lenses and keeps water and a snack cool.
