I just wanted to thank everyone who replied.
I found out that, a large percent do not use video, and a lot of B&W's go unused. It also seems that if a camera company would produce a stripped down version of their cameras, people would buy them, as long as the quality was intact. The photographers, that have a large number of mega pixels like that feature.
What simply amazed me was, the age of some of the replies I received, one guy was 91 and still getting out and taking pictures [ he doesn't do video]. There were several in there 80's. I just think that is grand.
I also truly believe that photography, helps keep you young at heart. The sense of wonder. The mental process of taking a shot, keeps your brainwaves flowing.
Although I am retired, I still know how to weld. If I have too, when I am 90. I will weld a attachment to my walker that will hold my camera. I am not ever going too stop taking pictures.
Again, I just wanted to say thanks to you all.
You weld a tripod mount to a walker and I'll be your first customer...lol

Hey dude-I just turned 90 and I sure as hell don't need a walker and I hope if you live to that age you won't need one as well! People age differently an everyone is amazed when they find out my age. Still shooting, driving, and enjoying many other things believed only for the young😜

Don't need the walker yet, but ya' never know when or if any/many here may need one.
Keep shooting!
I'm 80 and got back from South Africa recently. Do what you want as long as you can do it safely. Age is just a number.

But removing the bells and whistles doesn't make the camera cheaper and people don't buy them although they don't use the features.
