So I went touring around the countryside. I'm trying to teach my car to be a truck, so we did a few 4WD roads along the way! Clouds are so rare in our big, blue skies, I just had to share. Comments welcome!

I've been an Arizona resident for 30 - 40 years (Being old, I lose track of time) so I know about the clear skies. Love it. But, yes, the occasional clouds do break up the monotony, especially if they bring rain. AZ is likely one of the few places in the U.S. where when it rains you go outside under a patio cover or car port and watch it. It is so rare that it becomes entertainment.

Enjoyed the photos!

You're right about the clouds, Kathy! Just gorgeous! The clouds here were beautiful yesterday, too, but they looked ominous..lots of black clouds mixing with the white!

Thanks, Sue. We get those a lot this time of year. That's why the big, white puffies were so enjoyable.

I've been known to go dance in the rain! Especially that first one in July.

Great photography, spent time in Tucson area recently, it is a photographer's paradise.

Be sure to spend time in the Presidio. Neat doors!

Outstanding set. The clouds really add to these photos. The crested saguaro sure looks funny.

Thanks. Those are very unique.

It's on the west side of 19 just north of the Sahuarita Rd overpass.

You had more than nice clouds, but maybe everything else seem common place to you. Every image is a beauty.

Excellent downloads Kathy, the sky enables the cactus to stand out. Beautiful landscapes and great clouds.

Thanks, Sylvia. I usually like our big blue behind the saguaros. But it was grey cloud this time. Thanks for looking and the comment.

They are all amazing, but I especially appreciated the detail of the cactus top. Never saw anything in nature that looks like macrame!

Wow. I never thought about it looking like macrame. But it really does.
