Thanks, Angela. They were irresistible. I've seen that cactus bunch before and never took the time to shoot it. This time I did.
A fine set of images. I especially enjoyed the download of #2.

Thanks, Tbell. That is a magnificent crest, no?
Oh did you ever, Kathy!! Very impressive cloud formations and beautiful images!!
Kathy...Those really are very nice shots. I like both the cactus shots and the Santa Ritas. The head on the Crested Saguaro is really cool looking.

Thanks, Lame Duck. Those crested saguaros are really something. Some are better than others, and this is one of the best, I think. Unfortunately I can't get a true frontal shot of it, because it's behind a fence.
The crested saguaro is fascinating! Loved Carol's suggestion of a family portrait
The clouds, desert and mountains make for some beautiful scenery. Enjoyed this series very much!
Did you notice that #1 through #3 in particular look darker and less colorful in the thumbnail? Check to see what color space you chose. Should be sRGB for online. Adobe RGB only needed for printing. For anyone not taking the time to download each of these, they will miss the true exposure and color.

Thanks, Linda. They're all the same colour space. I do my small exports in sRGB for posting on the 'Net. It was a darker sky in those pictures. Monday was a VERY wet day in Arizona and the skies were dark for a good part of the day here in the deserts. They lightened up a bit down in southern AZ where the Santa Rita's are and we actually had some sun. I think that accounts for the difference.
Looks like you had a nice day of shooting. Good job.
