Great show of workmanship. Trainman, The trees in the back ground, they look so real. How is that possible?

These photos are of a 30" X 60" diorama that fits into my layout. I take it to RR conventions for clinics I give. This series of photos was taken outside (sun light) so the far background trees are in my yard. Fun with photography.

I too, am a modeler. Mostly 1/25 cars and trucks, but I have mostly everything in my collection, including 1/87. From one modeler to another, Beautiful Work. My hat is off to you. Your fine detail is amazing. And, each model seems to tell a story. What a one two punch! Please, keep the photos coming. And I too, would like to see a few shots of the whole layout.

I do have a question. What camera equipment are you using? I attend model shows and always take my cameras to record what I see. I am looking to improve my own photos. I am also curious after reading the thread following "Too much mega?"

Nikon 5000 and 7100; micro Nikkor 55 2.8; Sigma 18-50 2.8; Nikor 18-105; Sigma 17-50 macro . I have also used my iPhone 5 which gives me great photos for my clinics but does not result in enough dpi's for publishing in magazine articles.
