I am going to Lincoln, Nebraska at the end of the month. Does any one know of any places in the area I need to see/photograph while I am there?
The capitol. UNL campus is nice too.
The Capitol. Inside is amazing and you can go all the way to the top (at least in 2015).
Swing by Misty's in downtown and have a steak.
There is a wildlife safari on the interstate about 20 minutes east if you like wildlife photos
The Morton Mansion is not far away. It is a 19 room mansion built in the mid 1800's (as I recall). Very impressive and interesting. Goggle it to learn more.
The Sunken Gardens at 27th and Capitol Parkway. Try catching the capitol building in the morning sun or sunset. The Pinacle Bank Arena area can make some interesting shots.
Thank you, we are going to Lincoln for the eclipse. Will be spending a few days there.
You must have a Runza sandwich — this was originated in Lincoln and is now a small, local chain. There are several Runza shops around town. You should also visit Pioneers Park, the large Indian statue could be an interesting photo op.

Thanks to all for the information. I don't know how much I will be able to see but at least I know where to go.
Haymarket area downtown is a nice walk-around area. Just google Historic Haymarket to get an idea of what it is.
