If anyone is interested I have a friend who had to give up his station and now has two Omni 6 transceivers for sale. PM me if you want details.

Ah, a Collins collector. When you take them out of storage, you will find out that their value is appreciating. When I was a kid in the 50s with a novice license, I would drool over the Collins ads, but could never hope to afford one. In the 60s in VietNam we had 3 Collins 75A4/KWS-1 stations in our MARS station and worked the Hughes station in Ohio 5x9 for hours from a tribander at about 20'. In the 80s, I bought an immaculate 75A4 with all the right filters (for $125). Then I found a KWS-1, later got a 51J4 with matching speaker and finally finished it off with the station console. Used it for awhile on the air, but QSYing a KWS-1 is challenging, but I finally had the station I had dreamed of 30 years earlier. After getting an Icom 751A and IC2KL for HF, I sold the entire station for $1,000 to buy a Yeasu FT726R VHF/UHF all mode radio to get on satellite and work AO-13. The 726 is still on the air, but I can't help but wonder what a complete Collins station sells for today since I see nice 75A4s selling for $500-600!
