What the hell would you know about "character" Pixie?

That reminds me of a question once posted here. "When was the last time a poor person gave you a job?"

It is the same concept. The libs are brainwashed into thinking that the rich people are the enemy in any economy.
The free market and trickle down economics works fine as long as government doesn't go in and start tinkering with the mechanics and deciding for itself where the money is supposed to flow.

Trickle up poverty is what the libs believe in.

Valid question, but hardly responsive to the post.

It's because of the rich that your ass is still surviving.
There is a saying that you shouldn't bite the hand that feeds you. Next time you get hungry, find out where your money comes from. I can tell you it didn't come from a poor person.

It's because of workers that the rich are rich.

Plenty of money is spent (wasted) on public (government) schools. They get worse every year. It's the same with healthcare. There is plenty spent there and we have a great healthcare system in this country. Obozo tried to screw it up but nothing that can't be fixed. As far as our Veterans they deserve better. The VA scandal came to light during the Obozo Administration but the problems were brewing before he came along. If you think Republicans aren't working on solutions you're blind.

I think Republicans are working on optics and they are messing that up.

It's because the rich are creating jobs that we have workers and they have the opportunity for a better life. Let the government take away incentives to be successful and creative and you have the system collapse. The entrepreneurs and achievers will step away. Read or re-read "Atlas Shrugged".

I expect you to think that and I'm sure we both think we are correct. Pretty hard to take that anywhere.

She had her faults but that book has some very valid points about big government interference in a successful capitalistic system.

True, we have great healthcare, but our delivery system is abysmal. We spend far more per capita than any other industrialized country, yet our outcomes are much poorer. T R Reid in his book The Healing of America personally experiences the health care systems of several countries. An interesting read.

Here's a link to per capita spending, outcomes, and much more. Hint: The US doesn't fare well by comparison. http://www.commonwealthfund.org/publications/issue-briefs/2015/oct/us-health-care-from-a-global-perspective

Why can't the US do as well as France, for instance?

And the question remains: the Republicans had over SEVEN years to develop a thorough, coherent healthcare delivery system, and they are still trying to do so. Just possibly Republicans AND Democrats could cooperate to REPAIR the ACA?????????? Or are Republicans fixated on scoring points rather than serving ALL the people?
