Some other blooms from my garden. The garden hasn't performed as well as I had hoped it would. The alternating torrential rains and scorching hot sun have been hard on the poor flowers. Been hard on me, too.

The lone agapanthus. It has held on to life much longer than any of the others. I didn't even see the anole until I loaded the photos.

Catmint. Sometimes I find it flattened - probably by the stray cat hubby adopted - or the dogs chasing the cat through it.

Your garden is lovely is spite of the harsh conditions, Sherry. Beautiful shots of your flowers, and you're lucky to have the anole. I haven't seen anything but geckos so far this year.

Sherry, the flowers are again awesome and the small anole is a nice bonus.

Thanks, Donna. Our anole population has greatly decreased, but we still have several. I've seen lots of teeny ones, so maybe their numbers are on the way back up! Getting more and more skinks - I think - some fat blue-tailed lizard I have probably misnamed. We free feed our dogs and in the last month or so I have found some little transluscent white lizard in the dog bowls a few times which my daughter tells me is a baby gecko. Whatever it is, I hope it doesn't get Dane-sized from eating the Danes' food!!!

Thanks for looking, Angela. I had never seen or heard of catmint - but, hey, it has purple blooms! I'm glad I wasn't the only one to have overlooked the anole - he was quite a surprise to me.

LOL Sounds like Jurassic Park, Sherry. We've read that the green anole population has given over to the brown anoles, which are more aggressive, but I haven't seen any of those this year either.

Oh, NO! I love my little greenies. Last year when at Shore Acres, I ran into an acquaintance who started talking to me about her horrible fear of little lizards -- boy, was she in the wrong place!!!

Lovely shots ! Anole is added attraction and also a kind of ' find-the-anole' puzzle !
Initially I missed it as I was mostly looking at the flowers !

Thanks for looking and your kind comment, sundar! The anole did just kind of blend in, didn't he? Hmmm . . . I think they do that on purpose.

LOL I used to be afraid of them too, Sherry, so I sympathize with your friend. I'm not afraid of them now but don't really want one on me, and they know that, because if there is a lizard in the yard, it's going to find its way to me.
