The tuber was an uprooted tuber I rescued when we moved on our property. It has rewarded us for 29 years with these beautiful flowers with seductive perfume. The sad part only one night out of the year.

Nice! And interesting. A few requests: when you post a photo, if you hit "Store Original" it will save a larger version which we can download and enjoy and see more closely. Also - I really enjoy knowing what part of the country or world you are in or that the photo was taken in. We have quite a few members in the UK and Australia, and even one in Iran. Members are very knowledgeable at identifying unfamiliar plants and birds also, but always useful to know where something was photographed. Thanks for sharing this with us - I am sure the blooming is anxiously awaited every year!

Yes, a cactus, also called stag horn. Looks like dry sticks the rest of the year.
