I took a photo of an eagle at the zoo behind a caged fence and tried my hands at macro using a speed light attached to the camera. I'm open to comments for improving my macro and shooting behind fences and cages.

Great shots! Good detail can't say anything negative. I don't see any wire from the fence.
The eagle close up is outstanding. I can see the fence pattern in the background but see no sign of it on the eagle. I think you did an excellent job. The fly shot is nicely detailed too but I keep wanting to swat my monitor! Your plant looks like a Mimosa to me.

To identify the blossom in question it is the blossom of the mimosa tree.

In my opinion, you did very well with the technical aspects of your photos. My only suggestion would be to re-compose showing more of the eagle using the portrait orientation.
These are beautiful shots, semajskooc! I don't see the wire in front of the eagle.
