The specks on the horizon are the fishing fleet out in Cape Cod Bay.

Matt, I love the colors of the foreground! The grass has nice texture and a fresh, soothing shade of green. I also like the composition. The spits of land on each side make me want to see what is beyond. The sky is appealing but I wonder if there is too much of it. Just a thought - not even sure it is a good one. The tall sky somehow adds to the experience.

Thanks Carol. You saw the decision I made about cropping. I wanted to retain the tiny fishing boats in the bay -- they are rarely there; usually on the ocean side but this was where the fish were -- and thought a big sky would help. Also, I use 8/10 all the time, in case I want a print later. Any other crop I thought might eliminate some of the spits or some of the fleet. I'll try another crop just to see the result. Thanks for the comment and the thought. Matt

Carol, I tried 8.5/11 and brought it really down; the fleet is more visible but there is a lot of noise. Your thoughts? Matt
