Thank you kindly, kind Donna. We have some lumber stacked in the backyard (if it hasn't floated away) which was destined to become doors for Hubby's barn. But right now, we're thinking "Ark".
Looking for a ray of sunshine, I've analyzed the extended forecast. During the next 236 hours, we will have: 35 hrs of T-Storms; 72 hrs of light rain; 3 hrs of rain showers; and, YAY, 22 hrs of mostly sunshine!!!

A very beautiful set, and such a shame. Hopefully they will recover under more reasonable conditions. It just the opposite here with no rain since almost the
first of July and having to water the hanging baskets and potted plants twice daily an most days and temperatures have been up to 100 F. on most days!

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments, Cork. Mobile's status of having the greatest annual rainfall of any US city notwithstanding, we do have our droughts; last year's was especially severe and prolonged. That twice-a-day watering is quite demanding - and I usually fail at it. But, when it comes to the weather, we don't get to pick our poison!

Angela, thanks for looking and your compliments!
You've never heard of an Aggie? or its stages? The Aggie is an agapanthus, commonly known as a Lily-of-the-Nile. I don't know that anyone but me calls them Aggies; and I totally made up the stages. I first planted them in mid-August last year and they were full of blooms, so I thought their blooming season would be lengthy. But, each plant has only bloomed once this year. I read that they like to go dry between waterings, so maybe the rain has caused that problem - or maybe last year's late blooming was a fluke. Most of my lantana is not blooming - I've read that too much water or too much fertilizer will suppress their blooming.

Nope... never heard of Aggies or Lily of the Nile, but they are beautiful. Hope yours surprises you with more blooms after it dries out a little!

Yeah, that flesh-eating disease is pretty scary. Our son has been taking our little fishing boat out in those waters; while I'm happy the boat is being put to use, we warn him about the dangers every time we talk to him. It can be a horrible and a quick death.

Very scary, I even read you can catch it from eating contaminated seafood! !
