As you probably know Google had dropped its support of NIK software. Scott Kelby says he is already seeing problems with it. He is recommending Luminar as a replacement for NIK. Here is a link to introduce you to Luminar.

Decided to try the free Beta.
Then on a whim I tried opening a Corel Photo Paint .cpt file (the photo editor part of Corel Draw, different from Paint Shop Pro-which cannot open the Photo Paint version of the .cpt files, at least X8 can't). It opened and I can export it in a format that my other PP apps can read.
Photo Paint was my first PP app for photos since I had it as part of Corel Draw that I bought at a huge discount as an educator, I used it to make posters etc for the classroom for about 10 years. Just before I retired I purchased Paint Shop Pro, not aware the files weren't compatible. Saved me some trouble, now I can convert all those old files. Without having to purchase Corel Draw for over $500, ($150 for upgrade if I can find one of my old disks to verify upgrade status).
thanks for the link
