Lightroom color change

In Lightroom CC 2015.10 on my wife's Mac 27": in Develop/HSL, occasionally when touching any bar or even the side bar (to move vertically), the temp slider moves to cooler or warmer (most often) position and must be readjusted. Not every time, but frequently. This is a recent development we have not seen before. I have attempted to duplicate problem on my identical machine to no avail. This is not insurmountable, but irritating enough to seek advise from those more experienced. Any ideas?

Do you use the bluetooth mouse? It's overly sensitive, IMHO, and too often "adjusts" my current adjustment when my hand or finger makes the least touch.

Certainly worth a try, Fred, and thanks for answering so quickly. We will let you know how it urns out. Bill/San Antonio

So you are in HSL and the temp slider way up top moves to warmer? Weird...Perhaps if you work so that the panels are used in solo mode this will not occur...no idea...sometimes I think the programs gets a poltergeist and it wrecks havoc...no other explanation at times. I normally work with the panels in solo mode, it's a right click thing.

Know what you mean about the poltergeist reference. Computers just get bugs in them and nobody knows why. We will keep working on it; I will change the mouse arrangements tomorrow and see if Fred has hit the nail. If not, then do a hard reboot and see if it straightens itself out. Its would not be the first time.

The mouse that came with my iMac would make the cursor move in strange ways, so I replaced it. Apparently, it was a bad mouse.

We are trying that approach today. Since it is an inconsistent problem we can't nail it down until we use it for
a while - "a while" not defined. Thanks for the suggestion, Jerry. I found that same issue on Apple keyboards - had one
that would put in spurious keystrokes once in a while.

I had a wireless one that would not type a certain letter. I bought the large wired one. I like the numeric keypad. Logitech mice work fine with Apples.

Try clicking on one of the other adjustments (tint, exposure) and see if it adjusts that instead. Lightroom shortcuts the +/- keys to adjust whichever has been selected. You can move the selection with the </> keys, or just click on it.

I suspect that will change which setting gets adjusted; and then you can see why your mouse is doing what it's doing.

Have you checked the batteries on your mouse and keyboard? it's possible if they are too low that things could be going flakey.

If you find this occurring maybe switch to text edit and see if any random characters appear. The only other thing i can think of that might do it is some kind of gesture the bluetooth mouse i think has a virtual scroll wheel mostly up or down maybe you are accidently activating that.

Checked batteries and found them to be at 8%. Changed them and will see if that has any impact. Thanks for your interest!

no problem

I found with a slider highlighted arrow keys will shift values + / - 5 also the , key will switch between sliders and then + or - will change slider values
alt does smaller increments and shift does larger left and right arrows moves between images.

might not be related but it could speed up editing :)
