I guess neither of you want to talk @ the SB-5000? FWIW, I still use my 2 SB-800s and my 2 SB-900s with no issues.

I use flashes a lot for interiors and portraits botH inside and out For a single flash, I use an SB-900. For multiples, I have four SB-800's which I think are truly the work horses of the line. No longer available new, they do appear on Ebay, and I have never had a problem with a used one. I use them all on light stands with modifiers such as the Lumondi beauty dish, or RPS soft boxes. Incidently, I trigger them with PocketWizard mini's and an AC-3 controller. But I also have and really like the Odin triggers.

KEH Camera has a lot of used Nikon SB-800's HERE.
