Unequal pay

And we thought and believe that humans are the only ones to notice inequality, maybe we are not so far from monkeys after all.

An interesting reaction from the primates – pretty close to human behavior.

This is a 2 1/2 minute clip of experiments done with monkeys to determine theirreactions to unequal compensation for doing the exact same type of "work."

So, my question becomes, does a faithful employee of 15 years deserve to be paid the same as a newly hired one ?

Scott, in some cases, I've seen this, the faithful employee is considered a financial burden and laid off. The feeling being that they can always hire a much less expensive person to take over. That is purely the bean counter aspect of solving the situation.

That's kinda like what happened to me. Being older & more highly paid, I was kinda forced to retire... This was with a Liberal company as well. Subaru of America. Of course, they could they would have said other reasons had I been let go. At my age, there are no other jobs to be had.

Enjoy retirement. Life is short and working for Japanese is a hell.
