This is the East River that flows down from the Elk Mountains.
Great scene and quite a river.
Very pretty...love the scene.
That is an exceptional image! Colorado Springs is a great, thriving city; have friends there and visited a number of times. Went to school at CU-Boulder.

That is beautiful and that is a really winding river.
You posted to main discussion forum by accident, Rowedean. So I almost missed this fascinating study of a meandering river. The bit of wildflowers, the slope of the land, the river seeming to go on for miles and miles...very lovely image.
A little curvy, is it? Nice shot.
There you go again, teasing me with my past. Super photo. While in college, I worked on a ranch that was on the East River, just above where it mets with the Taylor to make the Gunnison River. Really good fishing if you can get permission, most of the area is owned privately.

Didn't realize I did that, Linda. It was early and I was having trouble with the internet connection here. Can be quite frustrating. This is one of my favorite scenes. Thanks.
