Can't complain about shooting lightning however.
Great shot. Are you using a detector or long exposure to grab the fish that jumps?
I love shooting lighting and do both methods.

Looks real good. Used to live in PA, and in IN, saw lots of lightning. Out here in CA, I never see it.

That is so mesmerizing!
Beautiful capture!
I think I would have to disagree, though. I'd want to sit out, watch, and Photograph.
The Awesomeness of the Earth and it's power.
Sometimes the lightening storms in Wyoming were so active there wasn't any delay between strikes. They were just poppin all over.
One day I watched a tiny wisp of a cloud grow into a huge thunderhead. With bolts and rain in the period of about 15 minutes.
I was glad it was movin North.
I have always enjoyed shooting lightning , had a few close calls and been actually struck twice in my life (must not have been direct or i wouldn't be here telling about it).
I sometime use a lightning trigger, sometimes i use long exposures, kinda mixed results either way.... every once in a while the lightning gods all line up in front of my lens.
this one I used a trigger as things were getting too close so i set up the trigger and exposure (2 sec i think) went in the house! Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

Since you've been hit I think Zot is more appropriate. (Hey BC comic that anyone getting hit by lightning had "ZOT" with the bolt. )
