Is anyone else having issues with their computer freezing up and saying it has a long running script, do you want to stop it? It is getting to be about every other time I try to look at a post. It is not happening on any other website that I visit, only the hog. It's getting impossible to look at the posts.

No issue here. Are you sure it's UHH script that's running?

You don't say whether you are using a Mac or or PC --- if it's a Mac, there are a number of issues with the latest version of the Safari web browser. I, too, have had problems with this web site (UHH) freezing and I got a copy of the "Firefox" web browser and that solved all of the problems I had browsing the web with my new Mac.

It's more than likely a script used to run ads on this site. The script may not be local and running on a remote server, which in turn is calling data from another server. If any of those connections is slow, overloaded, etc., it will cause an inordinate delay and an advisory will appear notifying you of a long running script. In most cases, the admins of this site have no control over that issue.

Yes, I am too. Every time I click on a topic I expect it. Does not happen every time but it does happen every day. I have a three strike rule. The third time it happens, I'm done for the day.

Call your internet provider. Sounds like you've got a bad connection. It's not UHH. Trust me.

The ONLY time it happens is on UHH. It never happens on any other site.

This was the first topic I clicked into today. After leaving this, the very first topic I tried to click into did the long running script message and locked up. I closed UHH and started again. This will probably be a very short UHH day.

I believe that rmalarz is correct - that it is a third party ad served on this site or another. I usually experience this issue while on Yahoo Mail that also has plenty of ad banners. It is NOT your internet provider's fault.
