Just beware that if you order a Slidelite strap from Peak Design that there is quite a delay on the shipping! I placed an order on June 30 and discovered it won't be shipped until after August 1. Pretty disappointing.

That seems excessive. I think they are a new start up company and they seem to make great quality stuff but with shipping delays like that, they won't be around long.

Peak Design is absolutely not a start-up company - that's just horse pucky. B&H, Adorama, Amazon all carry their merchandise - check with those sources as well as with local vendors.

Absolutely NOT a start up. I've had their products for the past year or 2 and just ordered more from B&H to replace some stolen items. Pricey but great quality and features.

TB4 - have you actually spoken to folks at Peak Design or is this just a knee-jerk reaction based on an unfortunate message you received? Was the message actually received from Peak Design? Use Google to search on Peak Design and learn about their history, there may even be a detailed entry from Wikipedia. Have you tried calling one of the major vendors and asking their customer service staff about Peak Design. There are so many ways to check this out other than just playing your violin.

They are not a start up company. I have been using one of their sling straps for years and love it.

I don't find a phone number and this complaint was mentioned by other folks, but have communicated via email. When placing my order it showed that the items I was ordering were "limited stock". I thought nothing of it until after 10 days of not hearing after the original invoice. Then I sent an inquiry. The response was that I should have noticed the "limited stock" and looked at shipping schedules to discover an after August 1 ship date.
I am not "playing my violin" or having a "knee jerk reaction" but warning others not to expect a quick ship date direct from Peak Design. I will visit my local Best Buy as they seem to carry the products.

I've using peak design for both my cameras (D500 and PanaG85) since May 2017. I've ordered from B&H and Amazon. Got everything within a few days of order. Their products are excellent and the delivery was immediate. No problems here. Try a different vendor if yours is out of stock.

Others who also do not have the sense to check availability and ship dates are sure to appreciate your warning.

Amazon, among others, have that strap. I would cancel the first order and buy from someone else.
